Characters of The Staff of Rahgorra

  • Thrull
    Thrull is the head of a large criminal organization operating out of the Cucop Alliance. Little is know of his past other than a few farfetched tales. Currently he is building his military forces and searching for the mythical Staff of Rahgorra, apparently in an attempt to bring the galaxy under one rule, his own.
  • Keoki
    Keoki is Thrull’s apprentice in the art of Jai Kin. She has been training with Thrull for the past 11 years. She is now a beautiful 20-year-old. She has long straight blonde hair and blue eyes. But looks can be deceiving. She has mastered all of the traditional weapons of Jai Kin and would gladly kill for her master.
  • Tok
    Tok is originally from the slums of Danta. He is currently in charge of the Samon Heei shipyards and many of the day to day requirements of Thrull’s Armada. His duties are so all encompassing that he wears no rank or insignia on his uniform.
  • Crash
    Crash is first and foremost a slicer. He was a 16-year-old runaway, slicing into any computer he could when Thrull found him. He currently designs the computer systems for Thrull’s Armada, though slicing into other computers and breaking codes are his main purposes in life. Crash is tall and skinny, with white-blond hair and deep blue eyes.
  • Markos
    Markos is a young and greedy bounty hunter. He is over seven feet tall, large even for a Yabar. Apparently he has some grudge with Cam, but what that grudge is remains unclear. His ship is the Kublica. His copilot is a human named Hifle.
  • Evenk Sirokyi
    Evenk, a Trerk, is short and stocky and rock hard. Years earlier he had been promoted to Admiral as a reward for defeating Thrull at BattleChess. His wrinkled and cracked skin is the only sign of his age. In his younger days his leg was broken in a brawl at a spaceport saloon and now he walks with a perceptible limp. He commands Thrull’s 2nd fleet the same way he ran his ship for over forty years, with an iron fist.
  • Koren Osric
    Koren, a Twarog, is the most experienced of Thrull’s recruits. He fought in the gang wars that accompanied Thrull’s rise to power, commanding both ground troops and naval forces. As Thrull’s Armada grew Koren commanded as many as six different classes of ship. Despite all his experience, Koren acts on impulse and instinct, oftentimes ignoring his knowledge and experience. Koren currently commands Thrull’s 3rd fleet.
  • Linu
    Linu is an Elepod. She was one of Thrull’s first recruits. She is a veteran of the gang wars that accompanied Thrull’s rise to power. She is young and ambitious. Though she is loyal to Thrull she is often disappointed in her assignments. Linu is currently Captain of the Talon. She is also an excellent cook.
  • Chameleon Del Rey (Cam)
    Chameleon is a former agent of the Galactic Security Bureau. He was kicked out of the GSB fifteen years earlier, apparently because he took vengeance for a friend’s murder. He is currently working as a bounty hunter on retainer for Obek Salmu.
  • Mook
    Mook is a Bozzobon. He is originally from the planet Vintrea, somewhere in Bakka space. A former slave, he is currently Cam’s copilot aboard the Darkmoon. He is an excellent pilot and has true passion for his friends.
  • TK-89 (Teekay)
    Teekay is a SarCon Industries Series 7 modified Astronavigation droid. He is currently Cam’s navigator aboard the Darkmoon. Because he is owned by a bounty hunter Teekay is shunned by other droids. He therefore prefers to be around people and is fiercely loyal to he friends.
  • Obek Salmu
    Obek Salmu runs an illegal smuggling operation from a mountain cave on Aapus III. He also does some work for the Galactic Security Bureau. Only a few people within either organization know of his relationship with the GSB. How he came to work for the GSB and the origin of his relationship with Braezun is unknown.
  • Greb
    Greb is an Undeg. He is playful with his friends and extremely dangerous to anyone who threatens them. He currently oversees Obek’s Tydirium mine.
  • Kayo
    Kayo was thrown into an undercover assignment for the Galactic Security Bureau before he training was complete. She is naïve about a lot but she trusts her instincts above all else. Luckily her instincts turn out to be correct much more often than not.
  • Braezun
    Braezun is the former head of the Dark Forces, the paramilitary wing of the Galactic Security Bureau. She was Cam’s boss for most of his tenure with the GSB. During her time with the Dark Forces she recruited Obek into occasionally working for the GSB. She was recently voted to the GSB High Council. She is also Tetsuko’s mother.
  • Tetsuko
    Tetsuko is currently the head of the Dark Forces, the paramilitary wing of the Galactic Security Bureau, a position her mother, Braezun, held for many years. She and Cam have been friends since their days at the Monastery, the GSB training academy. They were also members of the same Dark Forces team until Cam was forced to leave the GSB.
  • Toranga
    Toranga, a Uakari, controls the underworld of the Perlag Federation, the largest nation in the galaxy. Toranga once had an arrangement with the Galactic Security Bureau, with the now deceased Mu Shin (Similar to the arrangement Braezun and Tetsuko have with Obek.) but that relationship ended when Braezun took over the Dark Forces. Apparently Toranga has some sort of grudge against Braezun.
  • Snej Teo
    Snej is an old friend of Cam and Tetsuko’s. His species is unknown. Snej will take on a much larger role in Resistance and Rebellion.
